-Video Classics (1985/? Mode)-Probably one of the earliest VHS releases of the film, if not the earliest. Claims to be the "Uncut version", which obviously isn't true. Like almost every other VHS release, the edits originally done by CS are also present on this, and every following VHS release. The Cinema Shares logo is nowhere to be seen, and is only known to be on one release by UAV.
-Star Classics (1985/SP Mode)-Features a publicity still of Godzilla battling Mechagodzilla on the cover.
-Star Classics (1985/? Mode)-Features a close up publicity shot of the Godzilla '54 maquette on the cover.

-Goodtimes Home Video Corporation (1985/LP Mode)-Another early home video release. This was probably one of the most common, and was sold in retail into the early '90s

.-Goodtimes Home Video Corporation (1986/LP Mode)-A "Goodtimes Double Feature" paired with The Snow Creature (1954).

-Video Treasures (1986/SP Mode)-One of two releases from VT, with the other featuring the same photo of Godzilla, but with a different layout and font. No year is listed on that release, but the presence of VT's pirate 'mascot' suggests it was also released sometime in the '80s.

-Viking Entertainment (1988/? Mode)-
-Popcorn Classics (1988/? Mode)-

-United Video American Corporation (1991/? Mode)-Features Godzilla battling Mothra on the cover. Possibly one of the first '90s VHS releases.

-Burbank Video (1993/SP Mode)-Supposedly one of the higher quality VHS releases, though this hasn't been unconfirmed by the author.

-Alpha Video Distributors Inc.-Greatest Film Classics series (1993/? Mode)

-Alpha (1994/SP Mode)

-UAV Corporation (1994/EP Mode)-*So far the only release confirmed to contain the original Cinema Shares logo, though the first second or so are missing.

-Goodtimes (1996/LP Mode)- Most likely the same master as the 1985 release.

-Starmaker/Anchory Bay (1996/EP Mode)-MEGALON and GODZILLA 1985 double-pack.

-Anchor Bay (1997/SP Mode)-Opens with the Video Treasures logo, which pretty much suggests it shares the same master with those releases. For whatever reason, the Starmaker logo is seen on the back. There is also a Canadian release from the same year, which is pretty much exactly the same in appearance; with the only difference being the mention of a HGV Video Productions Inc. instead of Starmaker. There was also an EP version as well.

-Front Row Entertainment (1998/? Mode)-Canadian release, though it was available in the States.

-UAV Entertainment (1998/? Mode)-Appears to be the same UAV as before, except now named UAV Ent. instead of UAV Corp.
